How to fertilize succulents & succulent fertilizer lists

When's the best time to fertilize succulents?

It's best to fertilize your succulents during its growing season.










This chart shows the growing season for the different types of succulents. It's best to use fertilizers with a balanced ratio of 10-10-10. Dilute the fertilizer by using half of the amount recommended on the label and fertilize once a month.


DIY succulent fertilizers:


Coffee grounds: rich in nitrogen.












Eggshells: rich in calcium.












Banana peels/ banana peel water: rich in potassium.












Compost/ compost tea: excellent source of slow release nutrients.






















Fish tank water: rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.













Rice water: rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
