DIY succulent soil

There are tons of ready to use soil mixes out there for succulents and cacti alike, but sometimes they're either missing something or cost too much money for a single bag. So, here's an easy to follow guide on how to make your own soil mix. You can adjust the portions to your liking, but remember that you want it to be well draining!
Base: Potting soil (40%)

Sand: (30%)

Perlite or Pumice: (30%)

Optional: fertilizer beads
You can throw a small spoonful of these into the mix, but if you prefer to fertilize on your own schedule then feel free to leave this out.
